I do say that is a very nice setup, can you show pic of how it is mounted to the Grom.

I've got caught in a cross wind when riding my bicycle with my long board when I surfed at a place called Honolii in Hilo Hawaii, boy what a way to ride your surfboard on the roadway when the cross wind hits you.

Sorry for the late response guys but here's a bunch of better pics to show how the whole deal works. The baseplate for the cargo rack has four delrin (nice slippery plastic) bushings that carry all the load from the surf rack. A single knob lock the baseplate and board rack together so it is a quick plug in and out install for when you want to go surf. I'm making a small batch of racks now to see what the interest would be in them. Thanks for the comments! Vehicle Motor vehicle Automotive lighting Car Motorcycle accessories

Pretty stoked on the board rack I just finished up for the grom, pretty stable at 55mph and VIP parking wherever you go! Not sure I'd try a longboard but you never know... View attachment 5751 View attachment 5752
what is the length of the board? 5' 11" or, and what is the width of the board.
Can the rack work with a fully stock Grom rear section with no mod to the whale tail, etc?

Trying to figure out if my 6'11" will fit.

I'm sure my skateboards will fit

Unfortunately it won't work with the factory rear fender because the support tubes will not have the clearance they need. It's set up to work with our rack and fender eliminator so it shouldn't be a big issue.

I used it mostly for boards 6'2" and shorter and 22" and narrower but I have used it with longboards too, just depends how awkward you are prepared to be.

When are you guys coming out with the kayak trailer for the grom? Lol I've been looking for ideas on making one but I can't weld so it's helpless. I doubt there would be enough interest from people to actually create this but it would be epic.

LOL I've got a handful of requests for oddball attachments (bike rack etc) but they're pretty far down the list of stuff to prototype. A Grom with a trailer would be hilarious!
