The mirrors on the Grom, like almost all handle bar mounted motorcycle mirrors...are not very good at what they do.

This is.

Its called the bugeye. (google it) If you have used a glasses mounted bicycle mirror it works on the same princible. Now instead of a tiny picture of what is behind you..WALA you can see the whole road. You can move your head quickly from side to side for a three lane wide view. The mirror doesnt vibrate, blur, make noise in the wind, or need frequent adjustment.

It does take some practice. If you can use a bicycle mirror, you can use this.

Will it stick to my chin? If I'm wearing a helmet, its open face.

Do you wear glasses? If so try a bicycle mirror designed to attach to glasses.

I believe there are also bicycle mirrors designed to attach to bicycle helmets.

They might go on a shorty helmet also...

In all honesty I prefer the 'ol look over the shoulder trick. I feel a little safer that way.

It DOES take practice to use a helmet/bicycle mirror. If you make a mistake, it wasnt worth it. Looking over your shoulder is good! Im old and cant do it anymore!

If you compare the mirrors on a Grom to a glasses mounted (or helmet mounted in the case of the bugeye) just sitting on the bike you will see what Im talking about.

Putting it into practice is another story.

It takes time to learn. It takes time to trust them.

Once you get the hang of it, youll never use handlebar mirrors again.

I remove my old mirrors so Im not tempted to use them.

So far no problems!

I took the mirrors off and run w/o them. Just look over the shoulder. Looks much better
