Grom Ohlins Front Preload Spacers Question

Information on this is pretty hard to find for the 2022 and up Grom Ohlins kit (FDK112).

I'm 220 without gear and used the 6.0 spring along with the 15mm spacer. After some running in its great and all but this setup seems a bit stiff for street riding and I still have about 1/4 of my travel left (around 1 in.).

My question is should I go down to the 10mm spacer? Or even 5 even though the manual only ranges 10, 15 and 20mm.

Please advise.

Interesting they give multiple spacers now, old kits only had 1 spacer.

If the bulk of your riding is on the street, I would ride it more 1st, then decide if it's even necessary. I would also only go down 5mm at a time.

I was thinking the same. 10mm next. Just a pain to have to disassemble everything but it is what it is.

The kit comes with 2- 5mm and 1- 15mm spacer.
Just following up for anyone that is searching for info.

After a bit more riding and through rough roads it seems to have settled quite a bit. Most likely air bubbles moved around from when it was installed.

6.0 spring and 15mm is a bit sporty but much better and using a bit more travel now.

I may go to 10mm preload but it can wait til Winter.

On a side note I usually sit back a bit on the seat but sitting up against the tank also makes a bit of difference in how plush the ride gets. Small bikes are more sensitive but I do look like Donkey Kong riding the minibike on Mario Kart.

Figured it would settle some. You can also pull a couple ml of oil out to soften up the dampening a bit, since air compresses & oil does not. Easy enough to do w/o complete disassembly, just need a small hose & a syringe like you would use for injecting meats before cooking.
