I'm about to purchase a used Grom this weekend, and I'm looking for some advise on what the value of this bike might be?

Located in Toronto, ON, Canada. Bike is a 2014, black, has 900kms on it (about 550 miles). It has a small crack in the fairing under the letter A (but you can barely see it), upgraded IXIL exhaust (not sure what model), has an upgraded seat (comes with the original), and a brand new second set of tires for offroad.

What would you pay for this bike? If it was your bike, what would you try selling it for? Prices in CAD are appreciated.

Any advice would be great, thanks!

It's what a buyer is willing to pay and the seller is willing to take... In Canada they are less popular but still holding value, so I would aim for less then the US market (but our dollar value is lower then the US market so need to factor that in...) Example: California they can be seen closer to 4k+ OTD USD

Mods will never offer you as much as you spent on them, so be willing to take that in, you may get an extra $100 - $500 based on the mods you add (even if those mods originally cost you $500-$1500)

I purchased my Grom as dealer 'floor' model that had 185km on it (test rides and dealer employees bagged on it), with that said, I negotiated with the dealer and got it OTD at $3100 all in. Includes full warranty. On my sales sheet the bike shows 'retail $3199.00, but negotiated it down to 2609 and then the taxes/pdi brought it back up). There's a forum member that got a non used model and even better deal as the dealer had both bikes just sitting on the floor for almost 2 years.

I see Grom's in Alberta ranging from 2400-3000 used so anywhere around there should be a good place to start. More quality mods tend to command a bit extra while stock Grom's will obviously be on the lower price range.

No matter what you choose, have fun and enjoy - I already put 20,000 km on the Grom last season ;)
