What's up everybody, I've had my Grom for about a week and have 350 miles on it so far. It's my first bike, and I feel like it's perfect for the quiet country roads we've got out here on the Kitsap Peninsula. No mods yet, but at my 600 mile maintenance I'm going to put some Kenda dual sport tires on it and some heavier oil in the forks (30 weight?) so I can hit the fire roads on the Olympic Peninsula.

read up on the scooter forum website about those Kenda tires, they were not rated great. It's your money but do your research.

cheers and welcome to the board and ride safe.

Thanks, I will indeed research them. Figures that $35 price was too good to be true. I do want some more aggressive tires, though, so I'll start looking.

Placed an order through my local dealership and my K761's should arrive tomorrow. I've heard various things about them but for the price point how could you go wrong. In addition, most of the negative reviews came from Ruckus owners where the tire came stock which tend to perform at a lower level as opposed to fresh tires off the rack.

Did a quick search and these reviews seemed somewhat favorable.

I'll see for myself. By the weekend, they should be installed.

My parents live in Tracyton so I'm down there all the time. You have more balls than me to take the Grom off road. I wouldn't worry as much about the tires as much as I would the crappy suspension.

Welcome. Are you thinking Tahuya or Forest Service roads or both?
I'm thinking just forest service roads at this point. Nothing crazy, but I'd like to get into the woods a bit, but I'm not looking to destroy the bike either. Low speeds for the most part. I found a sand pit to mess around in Sunday, that was a lot of fun with stock tires.

Let me know how they work out! You're right about the price, you won't be out much if you don't like them.
