I sent an email to Maxxis inquiring about the M6024 tire to see if it was ever going to to possible to purchase the tire here and received this email from them.

Dear XXXXXX,

Thank you for your request.

Our scooter tires were just released back in the market, so the M6024 will be available. We sell directly to three distributors here in the U.S, but unfortunately they will not have these tires available for at least another 3-4 months. Please keep an eye out for when these tires will be released to the public, you can check back with us in a few months as well so we can guide you to a local dealer that carries these tires.

Sincerely,

Your Maxxis Support Team

That is pretty cool but IMO I would not use the Grom on anything worse than graded dirt roads. I just dont think the components are strong enough to survive whoops and jumps and stuff.

Awesome news. Another 3-4 mos huh? Am waiting for the arrival of Kenda K761s at the moment, despite all the harsh criticism I've read from Ruckus owners. Stockers always tend to perform lower as opposed to ones ordered off the shelves. At least that's what I've been told by those in the know.

Thanks for the update. Can't wait to see them on some Groms stateside.

I have a grom that I take off road and these tires are worth it. Mud and fire roads are easy assuming you know how to ride off road. and as far as whoops and jumps. I have ohlins suspension and its been holding up well so far. I have jumped it plenty of time... at 280lbs it still in one piece.

I plan on getting a second Grom for just that, bits of Off Road adventures. That or getting a Yamaha TW200, but I like the Grom and getting more of these sound like a fun plan
