Hey Guys......Im coming up on my first refuel of gas and was wondering what grade of fuel you guys are running on?

It's ment to run 87 or 89 I think, run that..

I did put super from a can in the garage today and then did a sustained top gear wide open run, it wasn't any different from 87, I can hold 58-60 on the flat sitting up, but if im going up a small grade, 55 max

Over in Thailand they recommend 91 but I always put 95.

I'm running 87 in the Grom, but I run good stuff in the ruck. The ruck hates 87

I've always been told it's best to run whatever octane the bikes was originally tuned for. Does it say in the owners manual?

Dudes thats weird that a bike is not saying 91. All i have been putting in it is chevron 91. I guess ill try out lower grade and see how she acts

I use 93 but manual says 86 or higher

The cheap stuff. Most little motors tend to pre-detonate when you feed them the good stuff.

87 and it's a nice feeling. Both my cars require 93.

You'll be interested to read online about octane number methods and the misconceptions that go along with them. Many times the octane numbers we see associated with foreign made motorcycles are too high. Meaning U.S. 87 octane would 90+ in another country.

These stock motored bikes will not run one iota better with anything over 87...just one mans opinion who's been in the gas business for many years .
