Hows it going guys? I figured I would make a build thread since I finally have parts coming in!
So I wanted a new toy. I built my jetski all summer, and now its cold here..Started looking at rucks and could not believe the aftermarket world. Then saw the Grom. I knew I wanted one, called around...woah. I had no idea they were so popular. I located one two days later and made a 701 mile round trip for her.
This is my first bike built for the road and I just got my M license. I have ridden dirtbikes for awhile but love this little guy.
I plan to keep her oem styled with a clean sleek style of mods that clean it up, but do not look super aftermarket. Unless you are a grom freek , then you might notice haha!
As of today I have 72 miles on it and have hit 62 mph. At 51 miles I did an oil change with 10-30 GN4 which I highly recommend. It was DIRTY!!
I have a Vaga tidy tail on and the airbox mod, that is it as of now.
On the way, Thai headlight, DDM HID kit.
Researching bars, mirrors, exhausts, and grips for now as funds come in.
A few pics below, nothing special... yet .

Put my M4 on today! Oh man it sounds ahmazing. I will have a video up tom or friday the latest! I put a rubber bushing between the exhaust and mount for now in hopes of absorbing some vibration so my frame doesnt split.
I also put bar end mirrors on. I utilized the stock screw so no drilling was required.
Still waiting on my HID then my Thai headlights going in as well.

Sweet! I like some of the ones I've seen on the forum but I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on something I bought for a toy. But I will be buying new tires soon for sure.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could
be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
