GoPro mounting positions (w/ pics and video)

I mounted the curved 3M adhesive mount sideways right on that big warning sticker on the tank. It rattles like crazy in the low and mid rpm range so the audio is crap(skeleton door). The two screws are just slightly tighter than finger tight using a screwdriver with hex bit. The video looks fine, but the audio is shot so I'm looking into better options with a similar view. I'm 6' so the helmet mount is super far from the gauges. I bet the Chest Mount Harness would be perfect.

i think the chess mount is indeed the way to go, the mount you had on now gives you a nice view of the bike, but you cant see the road ahead that much!
I have a rollbar mount(not handlebar) I was gonna test but I think it's in my car at my brother's house.
Nice apartment. Simple is good.
i have these coming in. and i will put one directly in the middle of the handle bar. i still havent order a chest mount yet.

later today i will take a snapshot of my ram mounts for iphone.
Any mount on bike will not be as good as body/helmet mounts. Too much vibes. I have tried all locations and always go back to body mounts. Great vid! I like your priorities :) You can use match book cover for tighter tolerance on mounts if the make noise.
I am a personal fan of a swing arm mount on the left side.

Assuming you're talking about my lack of furniture. :p Yeah I sold the old stuff to make my move easier then spent all that money on the downpayment for the Grom. I'm doing a CRX B20/vtec swap atm so all my current and future income is going towards the rides.

all you need is a bed, tv, and a grom.

The exit seems tight with the Grom, but you managed it well. I also need to maneuver the same way at home.
CRX B20 sounds sick.
I had a 2nd gen 89' CRX B16A7 or 8, oh I loved that car.
I always wanted to have a CRX or NSX or both project from a lottery prize, but I never win unfortunately. :big smile:
It was super tight because I was on the side of the Grom. When I got home I was in the walking-the-bike position and it was much easier.

It was in my other thread.
I'm 6' as well, and mounted mine on my helmet today for a quick ride. You can see the gauges and the road. I'll post the video tomorrow. My first video I did from the handlebars, and it vibrated way to much!
I tried on my handle bars with my iphone, but the angle wasnt nearly wide enough.

So i went out and bought a chest mount for my gopro 3. At the wide setting, I'm getting way too much of the handle bars and not enough road. I'm posting that video on youtube as we speak. it is going to take a while. speeds at work are pretty slow.

One tip, i positioned the gopro upside on the chest mount because the angle rightside up was pointing down too much.
Heres a few different locations from mine... The one from the back-left of the front wheel is mounted to a plate on the cylinder head... WAAAAY too many vibrations from that.. haha! But the rest did great i think.

[edit] this is all from an older GoPro Hero HD, not the newer ones, which seem to be MUCH better at vibration management.
Red,

I changed my hero3 to med instead of wide and it is much better FOV.
