I love the original dash just hanging off the motor into the air. Could have added some wire and mounted it in the steering wheel.

A slow death trap.
The gearing needs to be adjusted.

I am struggling to see the point when a 125cc 2-stoke go-kart racing motor can put out a usable 40bhp.
Even an off-the-shelf road bike engine is nearly double the HP of the grom.
Aprillia RS125 = 15hp before tuning

Because we dont have an RS125 in the US, id assume. Id also assume the poster of the video had replaced their grom engine with a finbro or larger engine, so they had one lying around.

But yeaaah. its a waste kinda. My old (like early 1960s) 134cc/8.2ci 2 stoke go kart will put out 13-14 hp and get me to 80mph. Its got more power, just sitting an inch off the ground at those speeds is a little sketchy, especially on imperfect public roads.

WE HAVE A trick widebody full blown (old) race cart hanging in our garage. I keep threatening to stuff an RD350 motor in it as I have a bunch of em, but I know it would be certain death. looks like fun ^
