Wow what a difference!

I started with progressive so when i bought my Grom, i kept them because of multi discounts. What a bunch of BS! I sold my zuma last weekend and called my agent to see what we should do about my policy.

After removing, my zuma. my full year policy with progressive was going to be $507
50K BI
25k PD
30k UMBI
25k UMPD
and a $250 DED!

So I spent most of sun night searching for a better rate! I'm glad i did because i saved $202! I went with Geico bc i was able to get the following

100K BI
100k PD
100k UMBI
50k UMPD
and a $50 DED!

For $305 per year! The first big difference i do know is the progressive was a total coverage loss policy vs geico is a actual cash value. In the words, with geico i will get KBB value vs progressive MSRP in case of a total loss!

Has anyone had geico for their motorcycle? How well do they take care of US when something happens?

You're lucky. My quote is $329 a year with Geico with a $100 DED on Comp and Coll...and all that you have at 100k, mine is at 10K. I've never had insurance before so I guess that's why it's so high. I think.

$147 year with GEICO, with 100k BI, 100k PD, 100k UMBI, 50k UMPD, can't remember my deductible. Multi policy discount, MSF rider class discount, 5 yrs plus w geico discount... I was surprised myself, cause my '10 Harley Sportster was $300+ with much less coverage.

I've jumped around back and forth from different companies because in different mixtures of cars/bikes I would use at the time, I would have better rates through certain companies.

Farmers (expensive even with just liability) to AAA (about $20 difference a month, but had full coverage on 3 cars) to State Farm, to Esurance. Which is underwritten by Progressive.

So far, Progressive is pretty good to me, in terms of price, haven't had to deal with them with anything else yet.

In Arizona, it seems Progressive is a little less competitive than Geico.

I bought Geico for the Grom 100/300/100 $50 deductible: $151 for the year. If you destroy the bike they are obliged to give you fair market value for your loss. Right now the Grom has a very high fair market value.

When I saw the difference I decided to get a quote on my cars Geico was Over $1000 cheaper for 6 months than progressive at 100/300/100, 500 deductible, zero glass, Emergency road service, rental reimbursement and accident forgiveness.

And switching the cars took $8 off my bike policy
