Had a question regarding topping up when filling gas. Read the manual and it says don't fill past the 2 metal bars in the gas tank. Is that with the bike leaning with the kickstand or standing straight? I'm just worried about filling it up with too much gas.
Also, went to the gas station when the last bar on the fuel gauge began blinking. Max I was able to fill up was 4 litres. I thought our tanks were 5.5 litres. Just found that a little odd.
Anyone in the same situation?

I always have mine standing up when filling that way I know exactly where the fuel level is. When my gauage gets low, I've yet to put in more than a gallon so I'm still trying to figure out my gauage to

Strokd_GE is way right. I fill all of my vehicles up until it pours out. Think about it, what's the worst that could happen?

I was wondering about that, myself. I fill mine up until the fuel starts coming up the filler neck, then wait for it to settle back down, which ends up being right where the cross bars are, inside the tank. Rinse and repeat, many times. I've never gotten to the point where it either overflowed the tank, or spilled out of a puke tube, somewhere under the bike. I just eventually stop, because I'm afraid I'm filling a charcoal emissions canister, somewhere.
