I have decided to place my beloved 2014 Honda Grom (MSX125) for sale. It was purchased 3 months ago from Honda of Houston and has been a blast to ride from day one. I have done quite a few modifications to it that have improved performance, handling and aesthetics to the bike. Currently the bike has around 510 miles on it which will probably not increase too much. The bike has hit 69mph GPS confirmed. (Probably would have hit 70 but there was traffic ahead) The bike comes with a 4 year fender to fender extended warranty that is fully transferable. Also I will include all the stock parts as well. I have over $6300 into the build but will let it go for an asking price of $5,200 or best offer. I have listed the mods below along with pictures:

  • KOSO Voltmeter
  • Renthal Handlebar Mount
  • ProGrips Soft Rubber Grips
  • Red Yoshimura Steering Nut
  • 14T Sprocket
  • Red Engine Filler Cap
  • Renthal FatBar Kit
  • Carbon Fiber Yoshimura RS-9 Full Exhaust System
  • Red Yoshimura Engine Plugs
  • MNNTHBX LED Fender Eliminator
  • Red Led Engine and Ground Lights w/ Hidden Switch
  • GPS Mount and Hardwire Kit
  • ProTaper Hand Guards
  • H2C Smoked Windshield
  • H2C Carbon Fiber Tank Pad
  • H2C Carbon Fiber Tank Filler Cover
  • Kitaco Rear Adjustable Shock
  • MSX125 Stainless Radiator Cover
  • H2C Headlight Brace
  • BikeMasterRed Mount Clamps
  • TYGA Handlebar Clamp
  • BikeMaster Turn Signals
  • MNNTHBX Turn Signal Plates
  • BikeMaster Handlebar Mirror

dang bro... i'm in sugar land? u mind me asking why u selling it? i plan on riding mine through the winter....

i just need to get some gear.

I just pulled the trigger on a Harley Davidson Dyna FDXF yesterday and will be riding that more than the Grom, so I figured I would see if anyone would be interested on the boards before I put it on consignment at Honda of Houston. It is a super fun bike and the mods are some of the best in my opinion so I hope it finds a new home that will enjoy it as much as I have.

Love this Grom. Im looking for a Grom and this bike is clean and has a lot of the same mods i want.

But I don't see how those mods add up to 3,500. Unless my math is wrong. Also adding a lot of mods doesn't add to the value that much.
Having said that, I think its the best grom ive seen and would be interested in it if the price was a little better.
Also considering i live in MD and would have to pay an arm and a leg to get it shipped here :(

edit: talked to the dealer and they won't sell it to anyone without being there in person (also was rude)
Not too bummed because the bike is way overpriced anyway. good luck w/ sale

Its funny how everyone thinks that the MSRP is what the bike actually sells for.... a brand new stock grom is 3760 out the door of the dealership, add the 4 year extended fender to fender warranty that is another 350 so thats 4100, the yoshimura full carbon exhaust is 530, renthal fatbar kit is 140, MNNTHBX pieces 180, Yoshimura engine plugs and steering nut 100, kitaco shock 160, progrips 30, bikemaster pieces and turn signals 40, sprocket 8, ProTaper hand guards 140, H2C carbon pads 40, H2C headlight brace 30, H2C smoked windshield 25, mirror 18, radiator cover 40, and led lights were 50 not including installation comes out to a total of roughly 5640 that does not include professional installation and tuning of the bike etc..... So to everyone who cant afford this bike and therefore find the need to make childish jokes and comments... It might help to know the facts before making false accusations....

That's some quality butt hurt. I think we are all capable of basic math. Nobody cares about what your mods cost. They care of blue book value. A smart man with a set of metric wrenches would unbolt his bolt on mods and liquidate them, then sell the bike as close to stock as possible. But I'm not a smart man, so id just go ahead and raise the price to an even $14k.

Damn. This is the 2nd ad I've seen in a couple of minutes asking stupid amount. Since when did mods increase value of anything?? They're bolt on parts it's not as if it's a complete custom one off show winner. Not trying to be a dick but I think you need some to get some realisation.

Good luck with the sale but I'd rethink your price dude...

Clearly NO one understands that adding mods to anything will increase the value as it sits. Doesn't increase the MSRP which everyone is stuck on but will increase the overall worth of the biker in this case. Some people choose to buy modded bikes at a higher cost because they know that they would have to spend more on parts and time to get a stock bike the same way as a modded one. I would personally buy something stock and mod it my self but there are plenty of people out there who have the money and would rather spend it on something already done up.

You guys are clearly missing the "true" value of this bike. It's not the Grom, the 4 year extended warranty, or all of the mods listed. It's clearly the "Lots of FUN!!!!" that comes with it that makes it worth the price. Please read the add more clearly.
