Eeking out a few more MPH

Hey guys, I have a stock 2023 Grom. I am not comfortable messing with the engine internals but am looking for a suggestion that will not reduce reliability but will add a little more sustained top speed. I am starting with a 14T front sprocket. Next I am thinking of adding a windshield. Does intake and exhaust add anything besides noise?

I've heard a 14t sprocket is an immense help. I have one on the way, too.

If you do an intake and exhaust, do a tune as well. The three together will help get the most out of it. Doing an intake and exhaust without a tune can cause you to run dangerously lean and put your engine at risk. Just an intake or just an exhaust is usually regarded as fine, and may get you a tiny bump in power, depending on the exact things you're slapping on it.
Very helpful, thank you
Thanks for the link! So ballpark 160 for tune, 105 for intake, $$$ for exhaust (varies).
If this gains about 2 real HP, what kind of MPH increase would that be? I am looking for a comfortable cruise at 60 without it pegged wide open.
By my calculation, 2 HP over stock should get you about 5 mph faster. That's assuming it's geared for it.

I am thinking that plus a windshield might be enough for me.
I'm running a Puig Rafale on my 22 and couldn't be happier. Its amazing the difference such a small screen can make
I got the Dart Piranha on my Monkey. All my bikes have similar flyscreens.
Nice! I wonder if it would fit the Grom? Honda Monkey - Piranha

I just bought a 2023 Honda grom too. I put chimera air intake, Leo Vince duel exhaust high mount, and a 39 tooth in the rear I have the Bst carbon fiber wheels and this setup is great. You don’t need the Bst wheels but they do add to the performance for sure. Oh yeah and a CJR performance ecu tune stage 1.1 for the air intake and exhaust. It’s a very nice setup very reliable. I bought a 14 tooth for the front but I have not tried it yet.
Putting a 14 tooth is not going to give you more top end it’s going to take it away. These little motors won’t give you much more than maybe 70 without doing some kind of motor work.
From what I read, the stock final drive ratio on the 5 speed Monkeys are just about perfect for the average rider. No personal experience but the older 4 speed was said to be way off.
