That swingarm is sexy!

Who makes that rear sprocket?

Also, how do you get your wheel stripe tape so straight? LOL

Oh and I can't believe the shitty frame issue with Honda. Honda is better than this. I hope they are forced into a recall with this because this is a severe safety issue and it should be covered for the life of the bike!

37tooth Vortex sprocket... wheel tape I took the rims off to apply, the brand I use has rim size specific tape that come in qtr round sections.

This size has four sections makes it ez to keep straight...

I think this blue would look badass on your grom https://www.amazon.com/customTAYLOR...hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-744688697189
Ah all aluminum Vortex? I was hoping they made hybrids (aluminum center, but steel teeth) for the Grom, but I couldn't find one.

Thanks for the link on the decals. They probably would look cool.

How much did that swingarm cost shipped to your door? I really like it.

Yeah I was suprised only one year warranty on the frame, something like that should be covered longer. Im just glad it worked out in my favor
I better take mine to the dealer to show them rust before my warranty is up then.

Yeah all aluminum, the RS8 superlites are probly best choice for longevity and strength.

Swingarm was $158.00 shipped to my door and took about a week to get. When going to website add to cart, the price shows more than what you will actually pay... My total was like $18 cheaper than what cart total showed, price came down on the item but shipping stayed at $35.00

That's honestly cheap. Gel seats are about the same price. I may have to pick one up for a winter project.

Does the Kepspeed swinger come with a chain slider? I don't see one in their photos and the chain would destroy that pretty aluminum.

This one has a little black plastic-type pad closest to sprocket, wish it was longer though. Havent put chain on yet so I'll be mindful to see if its properly placed, I'll try to remember to take a picture for you.
Yeah inexpensive if it's low price, but still decent quality!

Definitely keep us posted. No working chain slider is a deal breaker for me.

I've read that Kepspeed is bigger in some other area of motorcycling, I forget which, but supposedly they have a pretty good name. I read that on another thread on this site.

If you get one with a brace will the rear tire hugger fit? Also, that brings up the question - does yours have mounting provisions for the stock, rear hugger?

Bottom brace version should allow you to keep rear hugger, it does come with 4 small brackets and screws that you mount to pre-drilled holes in the swingarm.

More than likely im going to fit the stock chain gaurd to the kepspeed
Ah I didn't realize it was a bottom brace.

I was hoping that could be made to fit somehow.

More progress,,, Tuning components and some simple accent lighting DONE!

Was able to cut out almost 3ft of excessive wiring from component harness's... No more Spaghetti
The dash looks so good black! What did you use to convert yours?

Why are you using the AFR meter when the PV3 has the ability to do that? Or are you not using the WBCX?

P. S. A... DubSolo is leaving the Dynojet Family and going aRacer!

Before switching completely over will finish up Fine tuning with DynoJet set-up, this will give me a Comparison from an End Users perspective.

A few good reasons to switch... #1 Hard Racing #2,,, this video showing a really cool feature.

That is all for now Carry On...
I'm really looking forward to hearing the performance delta moving from PV3 to aRacer.

My Grom backfires with the PV3 as well. It's only slight backfire and it usually happens when I'm in gear and coasting down hills off of the throttle, but at high revs. If I ever so slightly crack the throttle, and I mean just ever so slightly putting tension on the cable, it makes it louder and I get more backfire. I love the sound so I do that often.

Neo head is 2V right? Why not a 4V head?

I have to go back and read this thread in detail. Once we get settled into a new house, I’m considering a second Grom or a Monkey. One will stay mostly stock and reliable. The other will get a BBK. I kinda wish the 164cc kits were still available, but I guess 170 is close enough. But if I go 170 I figure why not go all the way to 181? I thought about 143 Takegawa kit, but that’s only 19cc extra displacement.

Neo is 2V. From what Dub and I have discussed the 4v is expensive, hard to find parts for, and more stressful on the timing chain (less reliable). This was discussed as he mentioned ordering unobtanium valves for a neo head. 170 might not push the crank as much with high torque, still revs higher than the 18X+ kits. This all could change if a forged crank is in the future.

DHM makes a 150 kit and txb... on here is selling one. I opted for the 143 because it was about as much as a DHM 125 piston and TB cam. 143 will add some torque while not stressing the crank too much, still rev, not get too hot, and the cam has a larger base circle to help with valve train wear. Both the 143 and DHM piston are cast and both up the compression (DHM by a bit more).
DHM makes a 150cc kit? I can't find it on their site.

Yes 2V...
Like Justin V mentions cost, hard to get replacement parts for the head and would have to upgrade crank for sure, which adds more to cost lol.
That makes sense.
