I'm sure some of you have read a couple of my posting about Takegawa 4v BBK kit grom that walked away from my BrianS 170 BBK grom going up the Hills in San Francisco and this is the Grom above that is owned by JDracer, I say he has one of the fastest grom out right.

Not sure if he had any luck with the 10 hole F/I that we got.

Looking at his settings 12.2 and 12.5 my PCV-WB02 unit sees 12.6-13.6 with the best power pull when the reading shows 13.2-13.4 A/F
An AFR of 12.2 may be a bit on the rich side, fuel economy might not be great. In the end choose what you feel makes your bike run the best for your riding style.
Here is a quick video that goes over Air/Fuel Ratios and what characteristics you might see for different AFR values.

Have you guys done any testing with a DCR cam? Curious as to what optimal AFRs would be
Adamv,

We will be testing the DCR cam and will have dyno information and settings available once testing is complete.

Any updates for the setting/ ratios using different cams for stage one with stock bore? Was trying to tume mine today by winds kicked up to 25mph plus. There goes that.

Thanks

I'm really interested in the AFR+ but am in the UK, does it work with the UK spec bike (stock apart from radiator hose mod, Takegawa filter and Arrow full system)? If so do you ship to the UK? Also does the AFR+ control both the open and closed loop like the PCV and WB2 combo does?

Parksie,

We do ship internationally. Send us an email to [email protected] and we will get you squared away.

The AFR+ should work fine on your UK model Grom.

Our AFR+ does control both the open loop and close loop stock fueling. Since the AFR+ auto-tunes in the mid range and full throttle, you will have a closed loop tune up throughout the entire RPM range.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

New settings for the Grom with cams has been posted to the EJK and AFR+ website. The DCR cam was used in finding these settings. These settings will be a very good starting point for Grom owners running the other cams that are available.
The DCR cam is available for purchase from Dobeck Performance. If you are pairing the DCR cam with Dobeck fuel solutions, give us a call and we will put a package together for you at a heavily discounted price.

Dobeck Performance is a supporting vendor on this forum. Let us put a performance package together for you that includes your choice of an exhaust, a DP fuel solution and we can also provide you with a cam, intake, and even a big bore kit.
Let us know what you want to put together and we can help you SAVE BIG!

Thanks for supporting your Grom Supporting Vendor!

Im curious about the actual dyno performance/power curve. I'm thinking about purchasing the afr+. I've seen dyno sheets using your competitions tuners. The power curves seem to smooth out considerably with the addition of timing control. Does this really make much difference in real world applications?
