Not my idea but great write up and it works perfect. Only difference was, I added an inline fuse and also a switch so it doesn't drain my battery. Total cost to me was $1 which was for the usb car charger, everything else I had laying around. It's mainly to charge my phone if I need to but I'm sure that it'll charge anything that has a usb cable

i did a similar thing on my ruckus with my old droid.. i found a cig charger at dollar store for $1 so I just soldered wires to my switches for my angel eyes inside my battery box.. it was a last min thing before a major ride so i just hot glued it in place temporarily.. well it stayed that was for 2 yrs.. i just removed it the other day since it wasnt a usb one it was one with a cord..
