Can anyone recommend an alarm disc lock for the Grom? I know people are using the Xena xx6 but it's so damn heavy (lbs) I was looking at the Abus RS1, but there are no big slots in the disc to lock in on...(that's what it looks like, I could be wrong) Are there any other locks that may fit?

Why not get a good cable and lock and lock it too something solid what's the point of a disk lock if you can pick the bike up and throw it in a pickup truck

Yes

A cable is better than a disc lock - but that too is maybe 10 seconds with a bolt cropper - 14mm to 19mm Chain links!! they are too big to hand crop - That's the only way to keep it - even then Plasma or disc cutter - and its gone.

I already have a Kryptonite ny chain and lock. The alarm disc lock will be for short trips so I don't carry a big ass chain with me.

Old post but wondering the same, what's the thickest pin that will fit through the stock rotor? Also read a post elsewhere of a bike with a Xenia that got stolen quickly and all that was left was a Xenia lock basically cracked in half on the ground

I have the onguard disc lock. Pin size is 5.5mm.

i have https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/abus-detecto-7000-rs-1-alarm-disc-lock works pretty good. very sensitive. But fits the grom

Just so everyone has a definitive answer. The holes on the rotors are 8mm.
