I ordered a new cam and tune from dhm and I'm waiting for it to come in. I went ahead and started taking the cylinder head apart so I can install the new one when I get it. As I pulled out the old cam there was damage where the cam was seated. I wonder if it came like that from the factory. It was running great and don't know if this will affect performance at all. What do yall think?

They come like that, some look worse than others. I believe its where the cam lobes needed clearance to get into the head.
