:). El c....

Ummm ok. Does that mean I can go faster, better acceleration? Haha

Sent from my iPhone using HondaGrom.net
it means higher rpm's/rev's like he said

if you rev higher typically you go faster although there is a plateau obviously
With higher rev's come increased chances of mechanical failure of components

if your motor is stock I'm not sure why you would purchase these but DCR would greatly appreciate the bizz haha

I was about to ask about higher revs. I remembered that DJ will allow you to rev your engine higher, but you must sign a wavier in case you blow up your engine.

So this dual spring, is more meant for racers than the average person?

dual springs reduce the chance of "valve float", the spring keeps the valve firmly closed and is what brings it back to the closed position, if your rpm gets high enough it reaches a point where the spring can't keep up with the camshaft and it causes the valve to float in the open position and even though an engine may be non interference (valves can't touch the piston) the valve can come in contact with one another and potentially cause breakage

I'm glad the are people here that know their shit… but Strokd, you might as well been speaking Cantonese bc i don't know what you just said!

off to google and youtube to search for engines for dummies!

Would these be good to use with a BBK ? Until you upgrade the head? Just re & re stock valve springs with these?
The springs are related more to the cam than the piston, if you only have a big bore and use a stock cam there shouldn't be a need unless you have reduced clearance with the new piston, or have a controller that allows higher revs, or downshift into the wrong gear.

Since everything is a compromise - I guess the compromise with tougher valve springs is more friction and therefore more frictional loss (decreased power), and also potential for quicker wear of the camshaft lobes.

Makes sense?
