Hopefully Monday.

My Groms mission in life is to take me from NJ to The Icefields Parkway in Alberta/BC next summer. PArt of that is having a rear shock that wont give me back spasms.

Its the first major mod for the trip. Ive already done the seat mod, removed the body work and the chain guard, ajusted the clutch for lower down engagement, and tightened the throttle cable and loosened the chain.

I'll do pics and a report as the drama unfolds...

Tweak the fork and you're basically done. I would recommend sourcing the best quality #420 chain you can find and carry a spare; 4000-5000 miles is about the most I'd ever expect from a top-line chain. The cheapies are all done by 1K. You might also want to carry a spare tire & emergency repair kit w/compressed gas cartridge. You're talking about a 6000-mile trip, kinda doubtful the rear tire will last that long. Then go out and find your adventure. Just take lots of photos and video...for those of us who lack the time and determination to do a coast-to-coast tour.
