So I know lane splitting is a no no where I live, but sometimes in traffic you just wanna take that chance. So I was being a good boy and stayed in my lane, when this big Harley guy went straight pass me on the shoulder to the head of the traffic at a stoplight. So I was, well if he can do it, so will I.....So I followed him, and then lo and behold a Cop on a motorcycle came out from nowhere and pulled up next to me. "You gotta stay in your lane behind the traffic...ok?" I nodded yes...and he went behind the Harley guy, pulled him over and gave him a ticket.

What state you From?

We have lane splitting, Gays and what ever, but we have more men per women in Man-O-Jose, I mean San Jose. I feel sorry for the rest of the Techic, engineers in San Jose that have to pay to play for LOVE/SEX.

Not enough women or Grom for US.

We can lane split to our hearts content! I had a sheriff follow me into a parking lot the other day, looked at the Grom, saw it had a spot for a plate and drove off. Guess he didn't think it was street legal haha

It's not specifically outlawed here, but I do use discretion as it isn't the norm for sure. And usually only do it when traffic is fully stopped. Splitting lanes is a huge part of my rationale behind buying the bike, parking and fuel economy being the other main selling points. So many times you must sit through multiple cycles of a light at each intersection here in Austin. Not any more. Straight to the front every time now. This bike makes Austin almost livable again.

We are not allowed to lane split here in TN. But let me ask this, if it is at a stop light and no one is moving, can I then move up to the front of the line in between the cars or would that still be considered lane splitting?

Wouldn't that be "filtering"
If it's moving traffic I'm pretty sure it's "lane splitting". If it's stopped traffic I'm pretty sure it's "lane filtering "

I have seen people "cagers" do stupid stuff when a couple of friends and I were splitting lanes and one guy did not let us split and kept blocking us off so my friend who is also a body builder stopped his MC and ran up to this turd who was stuck in traffic on hwy 17 coming back from the beach in Santa Cruz and the guy flipped my friend off so he opens the guys door and rips it off it's hinge and tells the guy now what.

We some times carry our 9mm or our 45 when we ride. Never know when a cager is packing

911 isn't fast enough when you call esp if you ride in Oakland, Richmond, Hunter's Point, South San Jose, Gilroy, or any of those wanna be gangster territory controlled by young hoods who only understand the barrel of a gun.

When I use to ride from San Jose to Arizona on my Harley I always had my 45 pack and loaded in my saddle bag, even when I use to go back packing I always had my 45 to protect my family when we went to Yosemite or any of those federal parks. Muscles don't stop a crazy person or a group of people that want to hurt your family or friends.
