Ok, so i got them in today. Came home to attempt to swap them with no outside help.

I'm stuck.

1) Do i need to remove the bar ends to remove the clutch/brake and throttle controls? i believe there are screwed in so it isn't necessary.

2) How do i get the stock grips off? Are they meant to be reusable or will i need to buy replacements? i read my handy service manual and it says they are glued onto the handle bars?

3) How do i remove the plastic bar end caps on the RBZ? Pliers would just bite into them and ruin them.

Are sure i will have a lot more questions soon. I have the SBL Double Headlight coming in on Friday!

Man I wish I would have had those instructions when I installed my bars a couple of months ago. I got stuck when I realized the stock bars had holes to keep the controls in place. I called and emailed Composimo but never heard anything. (still haven't). I ended up grinding the nubs off the controls and didn't realize they were needed until I had everything back together and discovered that I couldn't tighten the controls enough to keep them from spinning. I was able to get everything back together after coming up with a fix, but was more than disappointed to get zero customer service on a $250.00 goodie.

How do u like the bars now that they are installed? A engineer friend of mine questioned.

Why are the screws connecting the handlebars bracket to the block so short? They are only about 3/8" long when the block is 3/4". They only thread into the block half way through.

What is the material the block is made from? I thought billet aluminum was very good a lightweight. He said stainessless would be better.

^ Just buy new grips, I-ve never had much luck removing my old grips.
Also stainless would be nice, but its not necssary, it weights more, cost more, and is harder and slower to machine.

When I change out my dirt bike grips, I steal my wife's hairspray and try to peal the grips up while spraying a shot of hairspray in there. It helps to loosen them up. This also works for putting them back on. I've not tried it on my Grom yet, though.

How do I reuse my orginal grips?
.
Shoot compressed Air in between the grip and bar, and they shold slide right off, the CLUTCH Side.

Unfortunately, the Throttle Tube is major knurled... So you'll have to slice the grip with razor blade.

You can try the Air, but it's gonna be a Bi$%ch

The best way to remove the grip off the throttle tube is to soak it in hot water for several minutes.
