Alright so I installed an API Tech fuel and ignition controller last night and now I have a code 9 mil on. I checked the IAT and it is plugged in and seams to be working. If I unplug the programmer and plug the ecu back in without it the light goes away. If I reinstall it, it comes right back on. Any suggestitons?

I am switching back to the Ejk :( I dont know if the api is defective or what but it doesnt want to cooperate. On a good note the tuner that I will be using to dyno tune my bike next week used to do R and D for Dobeck and knows the EJK really well.

when plug in the orang connector. do you check the wire in the 2 white connectors which any one of wire is pushed out of socket because api connector has to push in harder than it should be so it may cause one of those color wire out from the socket try to check one by one.

Hello Gromies,

To those that are using apitech ecu, do you experience loud ticking sound during idle and Low rpm?
I suspect the sound is from the throttle body.

How do you guys solve it.

I have everything stock except exhaust.

you ask FOUR times??????????
So sorry, was desperate and dealing with stress recently.

I mentioned in one of your other

posts, just try unplugging the fast idle solenoid valve on the throttle body. It won't hurt anything.
Hi intergalactic, thank you. However I have no idea what does it look like? I'm try googling and this is what I've got (attached pic).

So I'm removing this whole thing? If I can find it.

Here is a pic of a throttle body with the fast idle solenoid valve circled in red. Just unplug the connector that's plugged into it and try to start the bike. You may have to open the throttle a little to start the bike with it unplugged. I did have the Yuminashi ECU a long time ago and I sort of remember I had to unplug it for the clicking to go away, but that was a long time ago. Just try it, you won't hurt anything.
