So I havent bothered to check my speeds etc since a few weeks ago and this week ive made a few mods so I thought I would check it again today... holy shit... better than I ever expected...

Gps top speed no tuck 65.2 mph (105kph) and in a tuck 74mph (120kph)

Aside drim this the bike is more torquey and much more fun to ride as it revs through the gears much faster and is much more responsive.

Mods:
14t front sproket
36t rear sproket (required new chain)
Removed all airbox tubes including snorkel intake tube into the airbox
Removed mesh on back of filter
Run 98 octain fuel
Full race exhaust with twin carbon pipes

The pipes have had baffles in them ever since I bought them I took them out and this has made a HUGE difference... the airbox mod also made significant difference to how the bike pulled... and the sprocket changes seem to have made the bikes power much more accessible. Im easily getting to the rev limiter in 4th now even when 2 up where this was very difficult solo and impossible 2up before...

No serious mods, the lot cost me about $45 in parts and labor (but I am in thailand so not sure - I didnt fit anything myself as I dont have any tools at the moment.)

Highly recommend these changes to spice up your ride ^^

I think the better top speed is from the airbox mod and removing the exhaust baffles... the gearing helps rev higher too... previosly I would only hit about 8.5k and maybe inch a little closer to 9k in 4th but now I can go to the rev limiter with no issues at all... so combination of better lerformance and more easily accessible top end

I've gone +2 in the rear, slip on muffler, and opened up the air box a bit and I love it. Regular 87 octane fuel works better that higher octanes. Still want to add a pod filter.

Good source for +2 rear sprockets?
For those of us in thailand just go to your local bike shop and ask... my guy didnt have it but he ducked down the road and got one then fitted it for me, I checked it against the OEM one and it looks identical as far as quality and material (probably out of the same factory as all manufacturing marks matched) the whole process cost me about $18 usd

Hi I have virtually the same set up as u, airbox snorkel/mesh removal, 14-36t sprockets ,twin carbon pipes. Was a great improvement for so little. Now I've added Kitaco 133cc light bore kit, MSD blaster ignition lead + NGK Gpower platinum plug.. Now she just fly,s through the revs ,immediate torque pick up from standstill and gear changes (lead, plug, bore combo perfect) hits rev limiter in 4th at 128kmh. Needs longer 4th also clutch springs. All for under 200pounds uk. Excluding carbon pipes.:big smile:
