Alright, so I guess I'm crazy enough to have two bikes that I am modding at the same time. This is a project that I have wanted to do for a long time so I finally broke down and started it.
Starting with a 1971 Honda CB100. It has been rattle canned black and neglected for a while now. Purchased it off ebay and had it shipped to me from Michigan. I just started the tear down last night and it was a very succesful night. Here are a couple pics of the before and after tear down and then some ideas of what i am trying to do with it.

Great find

Here is my project 1971 SL-125 project---Very slow build, looking for new rims "original if possible". I found a place that has replacement plastic for the battery cover and air filter cover.

bought this 1971 Honda SL-125 at a estate sale for $400 and the original miles on it is 964 miles. I asked the ladies that I bought it from what was the history on the motorcycle and they said that their dad bought the motorcycle for them to ride and they use to ride the motorcycle to Santa Cruz from Santa Clara when they were teenagers. When their dad died they had to sell off most of his stuff and I missed a buy on a old Porsche Spider that the dad use to race at Laguna Seca. I think the spider was a 1955 model that had like a small windshield. The daughter showed me the picture of the car and she said that was the first thing that went at the estate sale. The SL looks dirty because I had it in Mohave Valley Arizona at my second house in the Barn and when I got divorce the wife got the house and she moved the motorcycle out in the elements and it got dirty and the front rim got a slight dent.

Thats awesome! Mine came from Michigan. Story on this was the guys kids rode it from the time they were 10 until they went to college in 91. He hadn't registered it since then. Cost me $350 plus $360 to ship to Fl. Glad someone else is working on one as well. BTW the factory Orange color is what I'm going to use. Only the tank will be painted. Everything else will be blacked out except the engine case and wheels. Land vehicle Vehicle Motorcycle Car Fuel tank
