I just installed my integrated tail light from Steady Garage (it's AWESOME, btw). I'm using generic LED turn signals up front and a flasher relay from Hard Racing.

The first blink on the turn signal is always a really short blink, then it goes back to flashing normally.

Is this something to do with my flasher relay? What would I need to fix it? I can post a video if needed, but hopefully it's just something simple.

do your front LED blinkers stay on as driving lights then blink? Or are they off and only blink? if the latter... then thats probably why. I have the same same relay from hard racing and mine is fine.

They stay off until you turn on the blinker. Then there's a brief short blink followed by regular blinking. The front turn signals I have only have two wires, so I'm not sure they can be set up to stay on as running lights.

I've noticed the same thing but only the first time I signal after turning the bike on, then normal until power is cycled again. At first I thought it was my imagination but I've just accepted it as it's no big deal really.

Fair enough, it's not a huge deal, I agree.

I was just hoping some expert could chime in and tell me why it was happening
