Freight and set up are total BS when it comes to the grom. The honda website clearly states the destination fee is only $125, and $179 for setup? How long does it take your mechanics to screw in the mirrors and pour some oil lol

yikes. just bought mine out the door at 3250.00 few weeks ago. no haggling. retail price plus setup and doc. they come assembled just mirrors go on and pour one quart oil and a gal of gas.

I paid $3099 otd and the guy at dealer sed the setup fee is bull and didnt charge me. And took of freight and said hed still make money. Goes to show you how much they make. 4k otd wow..

My dealership in Roanoke came in a bit cheaper... I copied this from their email with the price breakdown.. Granted, mine was $2999 before Honda bumped the price $200.

"yes $2999, $125 destination, $150 assembly, $119.00 processing and tax/title/tags.


$3412 x 4% is $136.48 tax, then you add in $28.75 for tag.


Total out the door is

$3577.23


Come down tomorrow and I'll take the deposit and give you a copy of the worksheet. "

I imagine it is getting harder for dealerships when you have an informed public unlike the old days. Imagine pre-internet.. Every buyer would be on his own to try and make a reasonable offer. Dealerships held all the cards as only they knew the costs.. Now anyone who takes the time, knows to the penny what others are paying.

With the free flow of information these days, I never make a major purchase without taking the time to see what the alternatives are as well as what others are paying.

I used the Honda 0% financing and had to laugh when the finance manager claimed I would 'get' the extended warranty using their financing...... I noticed while filling out the paperwork to 'get' the extended protection was going to cost $750.... he said I would get free brake pad changes though and a discount on repairs.

Didn't get the extended protection.

shoot still a good deal esp with the new price of $3,199
I thought Northern Calif was high $3,981.94 OTD Northern Calif
