Hello, I've just gotten a devilish chin-scratcher of an idea. I've been planning to have the kick-start hole tapped out on my right crankcase cover so I can put on a kick-starter off of a CT125. This was originally just to give myself a fallback in case I drain my battery with a faulty accessory later on.
However, I've realized that if I get a reliable kick-start, then I could theoretically flip my starter clutch backward and run a wet belt off of the starter driven gear, make use of the oil seal in the left side of the crankcase, and have a little supercharger setup in place of the starter motor. Wouldn't it be awesomely ridiculous to have a supercharger hidden away on a stock-looking Grom!? I really want this to work.
Does anyone else find this idea intriguing, and if so, do you have any ideas on how to improve my chances of success?
