Ballon78 K&N R-1100 Filter w/ air temp sender instal mod and bracket, wire re-route.

Installed a K&N R-1100 filter as many people have done but i did a few more mods to improve on the install.

1. removed entire air box and installed a breaker small 5/16 push in filter on the crankcase breather and zip tied it out of the way to frame.

2. removed spark plug wire from plug and moved it aside.

3. Removed the two brackets loops that are welded on from, just take vise grip and they bend and break right off.

4. Take k&n filter and drill a 5/16 hole in top of kn filter. then install air temp sender with two stainless marine screws.

5. reroute spark plug behind new filter and install kn filter on throttle body. clamp filter

6. re-move top bracket on clutch cover and cut of the old spark plug wire holding bracket leaving only the part of the brackter that holds the o2 sensor wire. paint and re-install.

7. plug all connectors back in and your done.

8. nice clean install, everything fits great!!!

even though the filter tucks up under the fairings i decided to order a dust/rain water cover sock for mine. going to install it today.
