Im used to these standard style enthusiast forums and unfortunately with the grom it seems majority of the activity is in the Facebook groups. Here’s to hating Facebook.
If nothing more to track my own progress.
Since im in it about 5-6 months I’ll throw up a few pictures along the way to current

ride home from dealer using the moto tote m3 carrier for the 1st time, was about 5-6 hrs one way (And yes I now know the forks are slightly over compressed). The carrier was a beast and solid the entire trip.

endurance (it’s the only rack at the time I could find that had the highest weight rating in this style)

tbh, I found a thread on this site for racks and it showed a picture of a computer screen of the rack- took forever to find it because there was no other information given. I found it on webike Japan. They have an online store too but no international shipping available (that’s where I got my visor).

Yes- dhm flash but have already changed out for a DingerBuilt intake. That way I could run an oil cooler (not fully installed yet), I live in Florida and between the temp here and wot all the time I figured better safe.

So I’ve been occupied by life’s obstacles but have a stack of product waiting to be installed. Waiting for an opening with local fabricator to weld the yoshi can in a high mount header (bought the tyga high mount but may see if he can custom the whole header, which I’m sure would be a better product overall). He’ll weld in the bung for the Aracer minix/af2 too.

I have the dhm cam ready to install as soon as the exhaust/bung is done so I can properly tune the setup. I was getting antsy so I put on the avail cam vent after ordering some hose and spring clamps. I ran it over to the other side and bolted the breather to the oil cooler bracket.

I put on the mnnthbx swingarm extension kit last night. I had to remove the rear fender/hugger extender previously installed because it didn’t look right and I’m keeping the stock hugger installed. I went ahead and removed the swingarm to replace the stock bushing with mnnthbx bushing (I’ll finish the install tomorrow). It was a lot easier than I was expecting tbh.

i picked this over others because the lens looked like an old school glass lens and it matched the style I’m going for. That was after I narrowed down based on specs and price. I forget the others I was considering but it had the turning assist but the cost was more than I wanted.

i just compared the specs to the koso and there is a big difference, you should check those out and compare. Also you should question why some don’t show an output/cutoff line. But if I were to give any advise at all it would be to stay away from Amazon/eBay knockoff lights or off-road lights like the chimera- you want to see at night but you also want to be seen and if you blind oncoming traffic then your not seen and potentially put yourself in more danger (if your blinding a car coming at you and get hit).

Have you changed the suspensions in the forks? I just had yesterday the Ohlins FDK100 cartridge installed and I didn't think I was gonna be able to tell but the difference is really noticeable. The suspension is musch more progressive and the dampening related to imperfections on the road is crazy.

Ah, I didn’t even notice the flag next to the username. I’d suggest watching some YouTube videos of reviews- search something like best moto headlight and look for a group comparison. They might give you other brand recommendations to check on.
If you look at my 2nd post (picture of headlight and my makeshift bracket) it’s still like that. I had to buy an empty bucket for my light and it included fork clamps (which are about the cheapest quality clamp out there) but I planned on cutting it up anyways and bolt it to the oem headlight stay. Added a small piece of steel for brace/stability. It’s the least attractive part of the bike but it’s temporary. I’ve seen others use the fork clamps and slightly bend them to mount up the bucket. It’s really one of those things that’s best to figure as you go with parts in hand but not complicated. I can’t remember what wires were “in” the headlamp originally but I had space in my bucket to stuff the connector/boot in there- the wicked grom h4 harness adapter. I think for the most part the harness stayed in the general locations.
I’ve done the rear only so far but I do have everything needed (racing bros adjustable kit) to do the forks. I need to just get it over with and start. I’m sure once I get started it won’t be as hard to install as I’ve made it out to be in my head. I do expect a significant change though in feel
