You want to purchase the Backoff XP. The XP will work with the LED tail lights. It is splice in, but only need to cut one OEM wire (the switched +12V going to the brake light). You solder each end of the cut wire to the Red and Red White (If you like the 5 flash - solid pattern). Then connect the black to frame ground and your done.Where are y'all picking these up at and which models work on the grom?
is this direct plug n play or splicing required?
Be more specific. Brake light does not light at all or does flash?Ok I can't figure this out
i did it like stated and it's not working
You spliced the XP black wire into black grom wire??? I just looked at the wiring schematic in the maintenance manual and I believe that it your problem. Run the XP black wire to frame ground. Run it under a bolt that is threaded into the metal frame. I used a ring terminal and connected the black XP to the frame in front of the battery. There are two bolts just behind the gas tank. One of them has a bunch of ground wires coming to it. I used the other bolt.Solid red from XP and solid red with white stripe to the green/yellow grom wire
Then spliced black xp wire into black grom wire.
