I've heard it mentioned a few times, but have not seen instructions. I'd like to know how to do it, and exactly what it does. I'm assuming richens/leans your AF based on predetermined altitudes selected from a list. Any info that peeps with a service manual can share would be awesome.

The page from the manual is posted on the second page of the resetting the ECU page in the performance section. I would help you more but I'm not home so this is the best I got for you right now.

That's the pages for ecu initialization and reset. One of those pages tells you to see page 4-25 for altitude adjustment instructions. I don't see that page anywhere.

What mode comes from the factory? Might help explain mine at sea level.

It dosn't say but you have to assume it's the 0 to 2000meter setting.

I'd assume the same given the directions seem to make it the default setting.

Thanks for posting that up ShapeShifter! Are you suggesting people don't monkey with it due to the dangers of running too rich? Or is there some deeper voodoo that you're privy to that led to that statement?

Well if you live above 6000 ft you might try it. Running too rich wont hurt.

I would never talk someone out of more power. But I might ground them for a week if they fuck up the programming on their new bike.....
