Neutral idle, operating temp and there is a chatter coming from the right side and when you disengage the clutch it goes away.. I rarely listen to the bike idle so it could be normal clutch chatter but I figured I'd ask

I have the same sound only WAY louder! You can hear it here.

Yeah the very last pull or two it's easier to hear than the first ones, actually hearing it my gf could hear the difference standing a few feet away

To me, this sound is different. This sounds like something from the emission control system, and I have heard this sound on several other bikes.

if the clutch engagement gets rid of the noise, maybe a clutch problem, are you ridding or dumping the clutch, they usually gotta break it.

In short I've been riding it hard, I rev match my downshifts and shift pretty smooth for the majority.. It's was getting some wot shifts yesterday.. No way it's already shitting out after 20min of really dogging it

that sounds a lot louder than mine. I only have about 30 miles on it, but I cannot even hear it running hardly.

while there is a little difference in the tone, I'm just going to chalk it up to the engagement of the clutch.

as it was stated earlier, if its clutch problem, let Honda deal with it

IT IS NORMAL. Its what i explain to people everyday " normal characteristic of the machine" Hence why everyone else hears it too. Mine does it when it warms up after 90 sec or so. You would be shocked on how many motorcycles have a huge sound difference at idle with the clutch lever engaged and without. Sport bikes are the worst. Buy an exhaust, u wont hear a thing. Ill save you from getting blown off at the dealer, or worse, some monkey tearing into what was a gd motor.
