good hopefully they can figure out what this is, keep us updated if you canI emailed my dealer about this and sent them the youtube clip to hear the sound. The owner of the dealer is a friend of mine and his son is head of sales and service, so I'm confident they will contact Honda about it to see what is going on with these. I can't imagine with all the units this seems to be happening with that Honda can pretend long that its not an issue.
was looking to buy a 2022, but wondering if this is a common problem. a decent amount of people in the YT comments seem to be having this issue.
looks like its happening after riding for a bit and in 4/5 gear
Mine does the same thing with 700 miles on it. Dealer can't recreate noise.was looking to buy a 2022, but wondering if this is a common problem. a decent amount of people in the YT comments seem to be having this issue.

I have the same problem, started from the first 300klm without going over 50klm or 5000...when i completed 2000klm and after 3 times to the mechanic without beliving me or result, i made a speed-test and i saw 130klm...when the sound began again, the best i had was 106klm...i got it from the mechanic today "again"(5th time) with all new inside the head of the motor...i wait to test it on Sunday again...if its not, probably its the trasmision...i dont know...i m goind to sell it if it wont be fixed...was looking to buy a 2022, but wondering if this is a common problem. a decent amount of people in the YT comments seem to be having this issue.

But have you ridden in 4/5 for an extended period? 😅I have a 22 grom with 3400 miles on it. Does not make this crazy ass sound. Which surprises me as I've thrown mine on the ground several times already
I think you are correct. I don’t think that is engine related. Definitely transmission/clutch. That noise is intense. I’m trying to think of how you could narrow down the cause. I’d be tempted to remove the clutch cover and take a look at the very least. The fact that it seems to begin after riding for a while, leads me to believe heat is involved. I wonder if the tolerance of something might be changing after heating up, causing some part to rub against something. Could there be a bad bearing? Like from a bad batch of bearings? I’m just tossing out ideas.Unfortunately, mine started this today. Around 50 miles on odometer. Same exact setup and symptoms. 20+minutes of riding without issue. Had a decently long run in 5th when I noticed it. Was not at WOT prior to issue. Noise stays until downshifting into 2nd. Doesn't return until I get into 5th again, but will stay until downshifting all the way to 2nd. Definitely transmission/clutch related. Not engine. Noise fluctuates with speed and gearing, not with engine RPMs.
i heard someone mention that theyre mechanic thought it was bearings on YouTube, and thought they were getting them replaced but havent heard back from itI think you are correct. You might be waiting a while for Honda to figure it out and do something.
