Looks like everyone is changing their oil early....I'm waiting until I reach the recommended 600 miles for my first oil change...anyone else doing this? I'm sticking with the Pro Honda GN4 10-30 oil too...

If I woulda broke mine in by the book I wouldve waited till the 600 mile mark... but I didn't so I changed mine at 300

I changed mine at 150 miles. This was swimming in my break in oil. Your choice.

A more descriptive title for a thread would be nice as well. The title of this thread is "Am I the only one doing this...?". Now I have to open the thread to decide if I want to read it. The OP could have titled it "Anyone else waiting for 600 miles before the first oil change?"... Justy sayin'

changed my oil after riding 285 miles.. simple breaking.. not going too high in rpms.. strained the oil.. didnt find anything.. gonna change again prob tomorrow at the 500 mark..

I did mine yesterday at 182 miles, had small shiny bit throughout in the sun light. Nothing abnormal but expected. I used mobil1synthetic 5w30. Its all I had laying around, it'll be fine. I'm wondering how often people plan on changing it now? 1,000, 2,0000??

Ill be changing my oil every 500 miles but I did the first change at 100 miles, the second change at 250 mile, then 500 and so on

I bought the 5 year warranty with mine- and they included my 600 mile service. So I am waiting until then for the valve adjustment and such. I am only at 30 miles lol.

I change the oil whenever it turns black. No matter the mileage. Oil is cheap especially since you only need less than one quart for this motor.
