I am removing my air box so I can install a K&N Air Filter upgrade when it gets here. I also want to make some room up front above the intake valve so I can have a much easier time with the valve adjustments. A couple quick questions for those of you who have done this.

This hose runs from the back of the airbox on the left side of the bike over to the right side of the bike and into the top of the engine. What will I do with this hose when the new filter gets installed? Leave it somewhere? Remove it completely?

This bracket is held by the top of the throttle body and basically helped stabilize the air box with those rubber cushions that the air box rested in. Should I just screw this back into the throttle body or leave it off with the 2 holes open?

This is how the open throttle body looks now that the connecting hose from the airbox has been removed. Should I connect the new filter directly to this, or run a hose from here to the air filter, or run some type of pipe that I see some have already? What is the best way to set this up?

Any and all advice is much appreciated!

Best to bend/break off cable loop by throttle body(filter fits nicer). just added k&n filter last week, revs nicely now! Got to watch getting into rev limiter, with free flowing intake! The hose to top of engine case is vent tube. Another one is on shifter side by where air box was! I put two inexpensive inline fuel filters on them and pull tied them up to clutch cable and wiring loom! Filters should keep dirt, etc. out! I put on superbike handlebars also, so re-routed clutch cable! K&n filter makes Grom sound nice! I pull-tied air temp. sensor to wire loom, so it won't vibrate against anything!

Would you happen to have any pictures of this?

I just let that hose hang, i took the bracket off but put the screws back in the two holes, just clamp the filter right onto the throttle body, I switched my K&N to a Uni, fits a little better since you can smash it in there
Thanks! Do you have any issues with water getting into the new filter? I will avoid riding in the rain, but just in case I ever get caught in it. Does it do ok?

I ziptied the hoses from the left side of the bike up to other hoses and facing rearward.

I screwed the air sensor that was attached to the right side of the airbox into the top of the new KN R1100 filter. To get the filter in I had to break off the 2 brackets that were in the way, but only the extended parts of them. I left the part of the bracket closest to the frame intact to continue holding that hose/line in place.
