Starting to look good, these pic were taken before I washed the junk off.

Before the start, had to remove bearings

supplies used to get like this, one can JASCO, two old tooth brush, one paint scrub brush, two used pie pan
,

97% paint removed just have to do touch up, decided to remove the paint from inside the rims

No hard scrubbing just apply JASCO and wipe off using your tooth brush

Just for FYI, the pie pan was used to get the yucky/sticky stuff contained in the pie pan, then I would put the thick black yucky stuff into a container as not to contaminate the rest of the Jasco that I put on the rims.

It took me two sitting or 2 days of EZ cleaning.

The white plastic bucket/container had Hot water in it used to wash the brushes, pie pan and rims.

The first day I did both rim section that had the spoke like design and on day two I finished off on trying to get as much of the black paint on those spokes and hub until I was satisfied then I did the internal part of the rim that never get exposed when the tire is mounted.

I also used scotch-brite green pad to help get some areas cleaned up. I did not use a new scotch-brite pad but one that was already used and worn down as not to scratch the aluminum.

Main safety thing is to use safety glass, the yellow rubber glove like the ones you buy from Costco and use for washing dishes. Long sleeve shirt is good and work outside in a ventilated area. A bucket of clean Hot/warm should be at hand just in case you splash a little Jasco in your eyes, water neutralizes the Jasco chemical. If you are going to be near flames, smokers, etc I would keep a fire extinguisher at hand.

I will try to clean it as good as I can and have it clear coated so as to reduce the time spent cleaning the rims from brake dust and dirt and grime.

Good luck on your cleaning if you are going to do what I did.

Ride safe

Now get your grom and put them on. Lol
yep that's what I said
Hollister Honda and Berkeley Honda said last week of Dec or last week of Jan or last week of Feb.

I can wait because I have to paint my white OEM plastics, the head light cover, the hugger fender and get my braided brake lines for my front and rear.

It's almost like waiting to get to first base or home plate with a new girlfriend.
