So I was at the Honda dealer the other day and I was talking to the sales man and he claimed he knew several people who have gotten their groms to go 95mph with just bolt on parts exhaust and sprockets.. I called bull shit on him right to his face, this is after he was telling me that a full exhaust doesn't make a difference its just the muffler that does.
95mph do you know anyone that's gone that fast?

Only in the bed of a truck. He was absolutely full of shit. The motor doesn't have the balls to pull stock gearing up to redline in 4th gear, much less taller gearing.

The Grom has a secret 5th gear if you kick up hard enough. That's how he gets to 95mph.

To unlock 5th gear you have to turn on the bike, then press: Sel,Set,Sel,Set,High beam,Low beam,Sel,Sel,Set. You also must have logged 5000 or more miles on the odometer.

To get mine to do 95mph I first reset my flux capacitor (located right by the ecu). Then I turn the key to "on" and right before I hit the ignition button, I enter "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start!

that dealer is full of shit. I did have mine pegged at 61 in a 45 on the way into work today though.
