If I could total my mileage on my bikes, I would be at 25,000 miles for the last year period...Grom 2600, Zero S 6500, Ninja 300 2200, GSXR1000 11,000, Vespa 300 2700. Year around riding helps. The reason my Grom mileage is low is because I don't like to ride it in hot sunny weather since there is no radiator.

Would it overheat? Or why the concern about hot weather riding with the grom?

I've ran mine at 7k to 8k for about 2.5 hours in about 75 - 85°F outside temp. At high speed it should be getting enough wind in front of it to stay cool enough. I'm sure engineers compensated. +1 on the oil temp sensor.

The high engine temps come from idling in stopped traffic or inching along. You should always be fine moving in 2d, 3rd, or 4th gear in even the hottest weather. Anyway, the fact we aren't hearing any overheating reports is a good sign. Australia has already been through hot weather too since the Grom came out.

I would ask about maintenance, check the oil, and inspect it, but if it starts and runs well (do test ride if you can or get a friend who rides to do that if you don't ride yet). If everything checks out, I would buy it if the price was right. Groms idle rough. It should have had 2 oil changes by now... one at 600 miles, then once every 2500 miles. There should still be plenty of tread left on the tires. I would prefer stock myself, but ask about mods. Here in Texas, I would want to get it for $2700 or less. Retail value in excellent condition according to Kelly Blue Book is $2820 here in Texas.
