The build has begun! Well, the parts buying has at least :D

Fortunately for my Grom, Motovation Accessories is located here in Austin and they carry some of the coolest accessories for Motorcycles that you can imagine!

I might have gotten a bit carried away, but thanks to their quality product lines and fully stocked shelves I couldn't help myself.

I can't wait to get home and spend the weekend bolting all these new goodies on. I will post up photos and info on the install as these parts make their way onto my bike.

Put it together and drive down to Brenham Monday for a ride. Rizoma makes some really nice stuff.

Nope! The Rizoma grips come with three different throttle attachments that you can choose from to fit your bike. I think the one I used was the smallest one. It also tightened up the play that the stock throttle tube had.

The Honda on the lift is ffarl's and it's a 1969 CL350. He's been working on it diligently for over a month and hopes to have it plated by this week.

I had been waiting on getting an exhaust system until I found one that had everything I was looking for. My requirements were:

1. Low mount or underbody system

2. Full system for added power when I get a tuner and intake

3. Painted or coated black

4. Lightweight

5. Silencer option

As soon as a link popped up about the new M4 Performance Exhaust System for the Honda Grom I knew this was the exhaust I was looking for!

M4 Exhaust · High Performance Motorcycle Exhaust Systems

The M4 exhaust system arrived promptly after my order and I got to installing it last night. The install was a breeze and it took longer to take the stock exhaust system off then it did to put the full M4 system on. The M4 system only used three mounting locations - two stock header bolts and a spacer provided by M4 bolted into a lower stock location.

Sorry for not taking better photos, but it has been running every day and my shop is packed with several other projects. I will get it out and get some good photos and sound clips as soon as it dries up.

The other great thing about the M4 exhaust system is how much lighter it is than the stock exhaust system! I know a lot of people don't think 8 lbs of weight reduction is much, but when you only have a 125cc engine I think every pound matters.

The Grom is in there I promise :)
