The PV3 is a much better option than the PC5.

PC5 on a grom is kind of like having a CD organizer above your car visor.

I am 6'1 and weigh about 175lbs before gear. With the dinger built intake, hindle exhaust, dcr cam, and CJR tune and a 14T sprocket I can hit rev limiter at 10,000 rpm in fourth while tucked. Even up slight hills, that is an indicated 78mph but actually about 73mph due to speedo error with 14t sprocket.

Definitly do the flash over PC5... PC5 or Pv3 is a toss up, if you are already knowledgable on tuning with pcv then go straight to pv3, but with your mods pcv will be fine, but would go Ecu flash before that.

This is what i would do regardless of build outside of ECU flash (for the money).... Aracer the deal HR gave me hands down a better deal than a brand new full priced pv5 and way more functions that are user freindly...

But yeah if you plan to grow your grom mods Aracer, if going to stay with intake exhaust and maybe a cam ECU Flash is the most cost effecive deal with results.

It's a piggyback ECU. You have to run all that extra wiring and connectors and stuff on the bike full time. And it's around 3 times as much money as a reflash. If you want to be able to reflash it yourself you can get a PV3. You might want to look at which off the shelf maps Dynojet has available for your year of grom. If you plan on doing those same mods in the future it might make sense to get a PV3. I asked hard racing if they had any maps for the takegawa 4v. They put one on my pv3 before they sent it to me but I don't think it's compatible with my year of grom or something. I can't even open it up to look at it.

ARacer seems to be a nice buy if your going to continue to mod the grom and bbk it in the future but if your going to stay with the basics the re flashed ECU is the way to go
