Hi all, does anyone know where to get a heavy duty starter for my sons 181cc Grom? He’s already burned one wiring loom can’t let it happen twice.

I usually wait for sales from Japanwebike and buy a couple of their sale items and than sell some of the items to friends.
Get a group buy to reduce shipping cost

$83.31 plus shipping for the new Koso HD starter

Are you sitting there just holding the starter while its not turning the motor over (stalling the electric starter?) If so thats your problem. If it gets to that point, just let off the starter let it sit for 5 secs for cylinder compression to dissipate, then thumb the starter again, the motor will have enough time to get spun up to get past that first compression stroke after.
