No clutch after installing koso lifter plate..

    Hey everyone

Got an issue with my clutch after installing an aftermarket lifter plate, I checked the springs were straight but I didn't have a torque wrench for the 3 bolts but they are pretty tight

I'm using 3 ebc and 3 stock springs

So what's happening is it's like their is no grab in the clutch, the lever is super tough and when I click it in gear I can walk the bike around with the clutch lever released

    Any pointers?

First make sure koso Plate is installed correctly, some members have reported that its not a perfect fit,,, sounds like you might have your 3springs bolts to Tight only need like 9ftlbs of torque

Awesome thanks mate. I tried a kevtek previously to of no avail. I'll try and tighten the bolts a bit more.

Its also very easy to torque too much and crack the basket plate. I did that once, and my bike had zero clutch engagement (obviously)

Yeah I have a kinchrome torque wrench but I don't think it's very accurate at the lowest setting it is many years old

I've got the Koso plate with the Kitaco "50%" stronger springs and when we buttoned everything up, the clutch engagement was super off. I have to adjust the clutch cable all the way in at both the clutch lever and cover. It feels like something is off. I've cracked open the clutch cover once twice to inspect it and nothing seems obviously wrong. I'm going to do it again this weekend because I really want to get to the bottom of this issue.

The more I think about it and visualize the clutch setup, I think my clutch plate bearing is not seated all the way into the plate. Opposite of another recent post where their bearing might be too far in as their problem is that their clutch won't disengage.
