    I read through this and it answered a few of my questions. I am hoping to find a Service manual on line too.

    A little more info I obtained - Intake Clearance = 0.1mm +-0.02mm @ 2.5k
    Exhaust Clearance = 0.17mm+-0.02mm @ 2.5k
    Oil = 10w30 @ 2.5k
    Oil strainer & filter = Clean @ 7.5k
    Spark plug = NGK: cpr6ea-9, DENSO: u20epr9. Gap 0.8-0.9mm, Torque 16Nm/12f.tlb. This was obtained of a guy from his local dealer, apparently service manual is not available on p.d.f as yet and info only available on Hondas database, so dealer has kindly printed this info off and has told him if he wants more he will print some off soon for him, al keep ya updated as and when I get more info!

    Thank you. I have some weight concern issues and speed concerns so this has helped a lot. I hope the US model wont change significantly with weight capacity.

    Note, regarding the fuel octane requirements that are stated in the manual, linked to above: if you're in the USA, keep in mind that while most of the world uses the RON number, the USA uses an average of (RON+MON)/2, so a RON of 91 is equivalent to a USA octane rating of 87.

    great information to have. i normally prefer electronic copies better than paperback. (although this may or may not be identical to the manual we receive from Honda of North America.

    Strange that the manual doesn't mention an oil filter where it talks about changing oil. Elsewhere, K&N says the 303 filter fits it which would make the filter very common and the same one used for Ninja 300 and Ninja 650 among many other bikes and obtainable in many different brands. However, I cannot find an oil filter on any of the Grom diagrams. I did have a 50cc scooter once that had no oil filter, but surely they put one on the Grom, right?

    Nope, doesn't need it. Honda has been building this similar design for oh what 60 years now? They run forever with pretty minimal maint. About every 2500-3000 miles check the valves, change the plug and the oil. I have owned a BUNCH of small Hondas over the years with no oil filters (50s, 70s, 80s, 100s, and my current 150). Never ever ever had a single problem with any of them.

    50cc-100cc Cubs in "third world" countries have been on the roads for decades with zero problems.
