K&N air filter for stock air box.

I plan on doing a How-to, to install a K&N air for a ruckus in the groms stock air box.

I plan on removing the air filter from the plastic housing and glueing in the K&N filter.

Why don't you just drop in the DNA Filter? It flows almost twice as much as stock.

This is very interesting - the first I've seen for drop ins. But its over $100 in USD! Any better sources for this DNA filter?

    Yeah, that's a bit expensive.
As I'm in the UK, it's a bit cheaper for me. The filters are made in Greece so I guess you need to pay more for shipping.
My one was £47 (roughly $77).

Sorry to thread-jack, but it is in the original intent of this thread! Remould did you notice a gain, in seat-the-pants feel when you installed this filter? Any sound difference? Their webpage shows a definite flow difference but I am always skeptical until proven otherwise.

    I would,
but over $100 is way too much.

    Yeah, it is pretty pricey.
I look forward to see what you do with the Ruckus K&N filter.
I'm guessing that you'll cut the paper filter out and then bond the K&N in its place?
We had to do the same thing with the UK Zoomer if we wanted to install the US Ruckus K&N filter.

The filter isn't really the biggest restriction it's the air inlet piping. I'd bet on the dyno you won't see any difference between the two filters in the stock airbox and piping. Even with the K&N directly on the throttle body the difference is subtle.

I've not measured or compared the throttle body and intake tube diameters.
Is the air inlet tube smaller than the 22mm throttle body inlet?
I remember seeing a post somewhere on here about someone who swapped in a larger diameter hose (radiator hose?) between the throttle body and airbox. Can't seem to find the post though... :/
