    European Tour

Just got back from Touring Western Europe on my Grom. Out from the UK we did France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany & the Netherlands taking in the Ardennes & Mosal wine growing region along the way. Over 1227 miles in all lasting a little under 2 weeks.
Grom was brilliant & most reliable. I was accompanied by a diesel Enfield so the bikes were well suited speed wise.
We took in the Hamm Dieselbike rally where Alt bikes are all the rage. Personally I took the chance to demo ride the Electric Zero SR which was quite an experience!
What follows are pictures (some run through a HDR filter in Snapseed) of the trip. Enjoy

It's good to see that the attempt to do "long way round" was done on a MSX

Hi Torquepen, I'm a bit late here on this, but how did you isolate the soft pannier from the exhaust. I would've thought it could get way too hot there. Cheers.

    That looks good there, dawg.
Muddy, I have an aftermarket 'zorst' can & stuck block strips of cork in bands to the underside of the soft luggage. Unfortunately 1 of said bands fell off & I burned up a hole in the luggage. I managed to scrounge a piece of pallet wood from a campsite & removing the cork, wired it in place using stiff wire (silver solder brazing) rod which I always carry for emergencies. That saved the day but carbon can was tarnished quite bad.European Tour-imageuploadedbytapatalk1452887028.650479.jpgEuropean Tour-imageuploadedbytapatalk1452887089.477438.jpgEuropean Tour-imageuploadedbytapatalk1452887135.166208.jpg

    European Tour

A few more shots of the Grom from the tour. I did the return leg all on my 'tod' as the other bike (the Enfield) broke down.

Last shot I took the Grom up a track to pay my respects at an Allied cemetery. Was tough going without the right tyres! Although small, they don't handle too well off road lol.
Great bike for back roads touring though. Being able to stop on a dime, turnabout & photograph stuff etc makes it very usable indeedy.
