Have seen a monkey forum where a guy broke 2 teeeth on 2nd and another one saying they were bump starting
Both engines were the 138 dohc desmos...so high compression..others saying kickstart can break it...so Wondering if anyone has experience here... Ill look at gsx post soon. The tourist option offers 0.8 final drive be good for 80 mph on stock sprocket

I don't see how, 75mph is one thing, doing it at 6500rpm is another. GearingCommander says you'd need to run 19/30 sprocket combo which I don't think exists and even if it did it I don't think it would fit. Plus you'd need monster torque / power. It won't happen until someone comes out with a 400cc bbk
Please see tourist option on the attachment.. 0.8 final drive yes sprocket would have to be changed with it but not as extreme as 19:30 i wouldnt have thought

15hp = tq*6500/5252 => tq = 12.12 ft-lb. if I recall correctly, that’s about the max torque that the Koso 4v was making at roughly 8300 rpm. Since it was max, that means there was a lower torque than than, so prolly around 8-10, so its probably not going to happen. Maybe a 235 4v could do it.

Yeah even with 17/32 gearing and 140 rear tire 75mph is somewhere close to 8000rpm in 4th on stock trans ratio. That's with a 4v engine, don't think you'll be able to get gearing that tall or the power to pull it with engines available now.

In a tucked position, conservative estimate, 16 hp for 75 mph.
Sitting up, average or so sized (not your weight, your overall size), closer to 20 hp. And thats with 0 wind.

Koso 4v is peak torque of ~12.5 ft-lb at ~8k rpm (per their graphs). Not a chance in hell youre hitting 75 at 6500rpm.

excel spreadsheet if anyone wants to try and mess around with it.

I highlighted the parameters you can change, as well as some notes to the right.

Although, engineeringtool box gives it a 1.8, which i think is really high. http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/dr...ent-d_627.html

ok so I think I get it now.. the speed could be achieved at 6500 however its more to do with the torque produced.. 19HP can get you to that speed easy enough in full tuck maybe even superman position however to do it sitting up the torque required will have to be much more than stock.

Link? their own or a 3rd party? I don't think it makes 19hp at the stock rev limit, but would love to be proven wrong. I'd bet closer to 17.
