I love the fender, I still have mine so I might put it on when needed in wet conditions. Put a few hundred miles on this weekend since the weather was nice. The 150 kit pulls super hard and revs high. Kept up with a 250 swap with the maxxis 6024s.

I put Diode Dynamics rgbw demon eyes in the headlights today, turned out pretty dope.

Those BMX axle sliders look like they would do more harm than help. You've never had them catch roots and rocks when you went off-road?

i am VERY interested to hear how the 150 does on the long journey, and what sort of routes you may take (highway, backroads, etc.) that windscreen looks like it will do wonders. please keep us updated.

Well, that was a short trip. Made it half way to Buffalo and the motor blew up.... I'll tear it down once I have it back home.

Confused since it made it over 1,000 miles before blowing up, so I wonder if a line from the oil cooler clogged and caused it to overheat.

    The Demon Eyes are awesome!

That really sucks it blew up!

Just saw you added more photos. I can't believe the crank snapped! Are they a weak spot on the Grom?

apparently it's a relatively common failure, forging flaw that can cause cracks near the flywheel key area.

I'm still kinda shocked, didn't expect this to be the point of failure!

I even added the take crank support bearing....

New OEM crank and rod is only like $90 tho.

That sucks. Good luck with the crank replacement. I've read of the these incidents. Hopefully your new crank is a good one. Make sure you get yourself a new woodruff keys for both left and right side and might as well get a new right side crank bearing. I have the Takegawa tensioner and it's a quality piece. And if you've never done it before, splitting the case for the job isn't all that bad. Good luck.
