I've had my heart set on Akrapovic since day 1. Since they don't make this I was only left with one option...make it myself.

Starting out with the Tyga full race header and mid pipe....

I got a brand new Akra shorty designed for a GSXR-750 and proceeded to start cutting it down to size

Test fitting the pipe...I have a 304SS reducer on the way and I am going to TIG weld it to the muffler and it should simply be a slip fit on the Tyga pipe. Then I will need to make a spacer to push the pipe out from under the license plate, but that will be easy. Then it will be complete.

Please start drooling now!!! Will post video after its done.

EDIT: Props to my friend from the local Subaru club for helping me with the welding. Made a simple slip joint to mount this bad boy up. Going to post video soon.

I'm interested in how a 750cc muffler will sound on the grom.

I almost feel like I'm listening to Harley owners and riders talk about how their motorcycle sound. I guess some people like noise.

stealth lets you slip away from the house or makes your neighbors happy. But it's just me.

it looks fat from the side but don't forget it's very thin and hexagonal shaped. I wrapped the joint in some rags and started it up and it sounded amazing not too loud at all, with or without the baffle it sounds great. it is not nearly as loud as the moto maggot

videos added to the first post.

I put on a few miles with with baffle then without...sounds awesome with the baffle in, not too loud, just perfect. ran great too, no backfires or anything.
